Research focus ← overview

The focus areas of KOHS in the research chain (from the ergonomics perspective) are: Research on intervention process (the output of interventions in connection with socio-technical system design (STS)) and: Research on learning process (the outcome of a learning process in organizations) but also technology areas (with the main subject: applications for intervention).

Combining the 2 areas (STS and learning process in organizations) forms a special subject of research: The [iL – STS] approach (iL: integrated learning).

The technology areas KOHS is engaged in research can be structured in: Research on applications for intervention and Research on technology.

The research on applications for intervention includes applying new measurement and risk assessment approaches in the context of an OH (occupational health) intervention, new mixed method approaches or new ways of data interpretation and visualisation. A focus hereby is also to combine PIMEX based methods and (sensor) data driven approaches.

The research on technology is mainly about identifying suitable ways of information representation (Graph AI) and distributed computing (Edge AI) to allow distributed work on risk management.
